We can carry out paternity DNA analysis with or without the mother's DNA sample. Even without the sample of the mother, we provide a result with a probability of paternity above 99.9%. If the mother is included the paternity test result will have an accuracy of over 99.99%.
Samples Collection for DNA testing
DNA samples are collected using oral swabs. Orals swabs are extremely quick and easy to use so you need not worry about making any mistakes. We will send the oral swabs inside our kit and all you need to do with them is rub them inside the mouth, under your tongue and against your inner cheek for 10 seconds. You can then send them to us for testing in the lab using a pre-addressed envelope we provide.
Alleged father not available?
If the alleged father is not around for the test you can choose to do a DNA test between the alleged father's relatives and the child whose paternity is in question. If you require a DNA relationship tests we will need some information from you including who is available for the test, the gender of the people involved and what you exactly you want to find out. Relationship tests include sibling DNA testing, grandparentage testing and aunt uncle testing.
The state of the art laboratory also offers forensic DNA testing services and can work with a variety of discrete samples if it is not possible to submit the standard oral swab we provide in our kit. These samples include toothbrushes, chewing gum, cigarette butts, underwear, clothing etc. The extraction success rate will depend on the condition of the sample.
